After School Matters and the Collaborative for Building After-School Systems (CBASS) are hosting a two-day national conference in Chicago, Illinois, to discuss promising practices in older youth programming.
The conference is targeted to providers, intermediary, funders and other supporters of high school out-of-school time programs to discuss important issues, such as creating innovative and engaging opportunities for teenagers, measuring the success and outcomes of programming and advocating for older youth programs during these challenging economic times. Given the challenges of sustaining programming with funding cutbacks, an increased emphasis on the longer school day and the slow growth in high school graduation rates, the time to support and learn from one another is now!
