Colorado Afterschool Partnership

The Colorado Afterschool Partnership is one of fifty statewide afterschool networks and partnership states that comprise the National Network of Statewide Afterschool Networks, funded in part by the Mott Foundation.

Current Projects and Initiatives:
  • The Colorado Afterschool Partnership works to foster statewide partnerships that improve outcomes for all children and youth, through high-quality, learning opportunities such as those found in afterschool and summer programs.
  • CAP's overarching goal is build coalitions of diverse organizations who can work together to leverage public and private funding and partnerships in support of afterschool and summer programs, with a focus in the following areas:
    • Partnership and Policy Development
    • Sustainability
    • Quality
  • Colorado currently does not have a unifying set of quality standards for school-aged youth in afterschool programs. To help fill this gap, CAP is currently assessing Colorado's landscape of quality systems, collaborating with state offices on credentialing and licensing, and seeking feedback from local providers.
