MTAA, with support from the MT Department of Public Health and Human Services, partnered wtih Bloom Consulting to complete a statewide needs assessment of out-of-school time programming. This assessment identified promising practices and outstanding needs for out-of-school time throughout the state. This information will help MTAA in defining its priorities as an organization moving forward. Findings revealed the extent of the unment need for before school, afterschool, and summer programming across Montana, as well as major barriers to providing these programs as well as to participation.

MTAA is also working to establish the network as an afterschool leader; develop policies and secure resouces that support school-based/school-linked afterschool and out-of-school time programs; and support high-quality afterschool programs in Montana.
