New Hampshire Afterschool Network

The New Hampshire Afterschool Network (NHAN) is a partnership of local and state organizations, collaborative groups and other stakeholders joined together around a common vision to actively engage in the development of sustainable systems to inform policy, enhance the quality and professionalism of the field and create a system of support that adequately meets the unique needs of all youth in New Hampshire during out-of-school time (OST) hours.

Accomplishments:

NHAN established a new afterschool network in New Hampshire to continue and build upon the strong foundation set by the previous network, PlusTime New Hampshire.

Current Projects and Initiatives:
  • NHAN is creating a sustainable structure of partnerships and governance.
  • NHAN is working toward establishing an effective system of advocacy and resource development to meet the needs of the afterschool field.
  • NHAN is coordinating accessible training opportunities to support afterschool credentials through BOOST New Hampshire, a contract through the Child Development Bureau.
  • NHAN is conducting a two-year evaluation to identify measures of quality for replicable best practices for school-based 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
