Kansas Enrichment Network

The Kansas Enrichment Network is a collaboration of agencies and organizations in Kansas that helps build and expand school-based programs to enhance learning opportunities for students, and provides technical assistance to new and established programs. The Network strives to raise awareness, build capacity and sustainability, and promote the importance of such programs.

Current Projects and Initiatives: 
  • Expanded of advocacy/policy work through the State and Regional Ambassadors.

  • Reinstated the yearly Day at the Capitol.

  • Organized advocacy/policy work around the information gleaned at the White-Riley-Petersen Fellow project.

  • Continued focus on STEM system-building initiative, connecting likely and unlikely partners in an effort to increase youth opportunities and help prepare them for the workforce.

  • Joined STEM system-building efforts with the Kansas Department of Education and a statewide business project.

  • Strengthened youth expose to STEM activities by providing technical assistance to recipients of a STEM mentoring grant.

  • Began a badging project that focuses on both content and 21st Century skills badges.
