Resources

The afterschool field is evolving, and there is a plethora of information that can inform both the practitioners and researchers alike on ways to improve and sustain afterschool programs. Each year, Collaborative Communications Group, on behalf of the C.S. Mott Foundation, compiles a CD of Afterschool Resources in several key areas: General resources, policy, financing strategies, quality, legislation, outreach, and coalition building, potential opportunities for afterschool, research and Statewide Afterschool Networks descriptions. The resources include tools, articles, research papers, and network samples to provide breadth and depth of information for all cohorts.

Additional resources are provided below, categorized by each goal area. A general feature, “Network Materials,” has also been included to encompass applications, forms and summaries for Statewide Afterschool Networks cohorts.

  • Goal One: Create a sustainable structure of statewide, regional, and local partnerships, particularly school-community partnerships, focused on supporting policy development at all levels.

  • Goal Two: Support the development and growth of statewide policies that will secure the resources that are needed to sustain new and existing afterschool programs.

  • Goal Three: Support statewide systems to ensure programs are of high quality.

  • Network Materials: Useful resources on the Statewide Afterschool Networks.
